Home. Sort of. Rhoda was merely her birth place. The land that had raised her. Living off the Earth was not her desired lifestyle though. No. Theo only felt truly at home aboard the Golden Tiger. With a crew as diverse and wonderful as her crew, these squares that lingered in the streets of Rhoda could never hope to compare.

Her gaze darted to and fro. Alert for anything worth stealing. Thus far, she had had no luck. Everything was absolutely boring. This, was why she preferred her ship to the streets.

A sigh passed through her lips. Slender hand came up to scratch irritated like in her hair. How did these humans live such mundane lives with such large smiles on their faces?

She kept her body straight, tall, and strode forth. She was perfectly content in her actions until someone made a ruckas. Her gaze followed the sound and soon enough she spotted a small group around a vendor.

Color her curious. She shoved through the crowd and soon enough came face to face with a nice set of wares. Moments ticked by, and soon enough, she was slipping away. A deep red scarf being shoved into her sleeve as she went. No one the wiser. Or that's what she thought anyway.

[Tatum Vermillion]

our fingertips are about to touch. we just look at our feet. our love is so awkward.

Tatum gripped onto the string of her bag nervously, her fingers dancing up and down as she stood awkwardly in this new and unfamiliar town. Tatum hadn't ever seen so many people in one place before and  it was completely unnerving biting her lip she looked back and fourth to see if she could find anyone. But she wasn't sure what to do, she had finally left home, sneaking onto a passing by ship and here she was. She knew that she wanted to find a more permanent means of travel, but where to find that wasn't exactly something she'd know.  She was completely prepared to spend a few weeks working here until she could buy her own, though honestly she'd been hoping to find someone a lot more experienced then her to travel with. But whatever it took, as nice as this island was it was far to crowded for Tatum's taste. So she sighed and walked from the pier, and just started walking. Soon Tatum was faced with a series of vendors, and she shrugged and started looking around at different little stands, and then one came across her eye, with quite a few people standing near it. Being as small as she was she squeezed her way past the people to the front.  Nothing really caught her eye, except a red scarf, that slowly just slipped away from the table, squeezing back out she saw a boy.. or wait. Maybe it was a woman, either way, they were making off with the scarf. For one reason or another, Tatum became interested in the person and slowly started following them, but just from a safe distance. To watch them steal, and see if they were any good at it.

( Just a note, I decided to start refering to Theo as a he whenever she's purposefully looking/playing at being a male. So don't mind the shifting of gender terms. )

Theo kept his swagger up as he danced through the crowd. Long legs carried him seemingly several steps at once. His confidence showing in spades. If one were to watch him move, it was as though people purposefully did not touch him. As though they were aware of his greatness. That or he was just remarkable at dodging the crowd. Probably the second.

He stopped at another vendor, and this time a small glass figurine was slid into his pocket, carefully of course. The next stall gained him a piece of fruit, which he promptly took a bite of. The last stall he approached, he walked away with a tiny scope of sorts. He was certain that his Sailing Master would love it.

Some wondered why Theo stole, it wasn't like he didn't have the money to pay for things. However, stealing was more fun. The thrill of whether or not he would actually get away with it was what he lived for.

Rather than continue in the crowd, he swerved into a side alley. He had been aware for a bit now that he was being tailed, and was curious to come face to face with his little follower. He was leaning against a wall, waiting patiently for the victim to catch up. Once they did, well...he would decide what to do then.

Tatum followed the expert, feeling quite proud of herself for not getting caught. She was starting to get cocky and would start getting closer then farther, and messing with distance. Not realizing she was already found out.  Another thing, she actually started grabbing things right after her target. Learning from them and stealing, something that Tatum figured she'd have to do anyway. She doubted anyone would hire her, as she didn't really have any particular skills. Other then taking care of kids. And when the target decided to go and run into the ally, Tatum hadn't thought anything of it and just slipped in and followed them, just to see them leaning up against the wall. She blinked for a moment, disappointed her own little game was over. So she looked up at the person, not sure if she should talk to them or just go ahead and leave and stood there awkwardly for a good minuet or so. All the sudden realizing, she had to have been caught at this point.

He chuckled and closed in on her. He had no ill intent, and simply brought his hand up to rest under her chin and raise it. "What is a cute little thing like yourself doing following me around?" His voice was smooth, it made it even harder to tell his real gender. Not that it usually mattered at this point. This close, with his natural charm, most fell in love almost immediately...and had their hopes squashed soon after.

His gaze shifted down her form, and he snorted. He recognized an item or two not so well hidden from places he had stolen. "Did you...steal from the same places I did?" His laughter came forth heartily now. "That is perfect! You didn't get spotted right?" He leaned past / over her to look out the alley, one way, than the other. "I think you're in the clear darling."

With this, he stepped back, lightly rubbing the back of his neck. "What's your name and where are you from?" She didn't look like she was actually used to this sort of thing.
