Theo had not discussed with her crew how she had come by the rather large "map".  Naw, she just told them to pack up ship and start the process to Flora.  The first clue of the treasure map had stated:

• On an island shrouded in green, is a small little door hiding behind the trees.
  

To Theo, it made prefect sense that said island was Flora.  After all, it was the only known island completely shrouded in green.

She had left the Golden Tiger further out in the waters with others of her crew to man it, and had taken a dinghy to the dock at Flora.  With her, was Nix, Lotus Bethel, and Tatum Vermillion.  She figured that once ashore, they could request the aide of a local to help them with some of the more difficult crews.

They weren't on the dock for more than a moment when she spotted her victim.  Immediately she seemed to change, tone, posture, and everything became masculine.  He bade his crew to wait a moment, and then was off down the dock at a jog.  "Sir!"  It was a sir, right?

He finally managed to reach the boy, charming grin across his face.  "Would you mind doing my crew and I a favor, lad?"  This young "lad" would turn out to be none other than Peyton Camille.  "We need an escort, and you look as though you're mighty reliable and know your way around the lands."  Maybe he was being too nice?  But this was normal for Theo.

Lotus was helping row the damn dinghy towards the jungle island of Flora. "Y'know Cap'n Sir," The teenager made sure to call Theodora 'Sir' as the captain liked it. "Zebil and I ain't never been to an island as green as this one. Back home on Aguans the grass was green but nothing like this." The map had been kept a secret from most of the crew, only those Captain Theo had chosen to come with had seen it, or at least that's what Lotus assumed. She had been called in to help guide the ship to Flora from where they had been at in Rhoda. Once ashore Theo made a beeline towards someone who looked like a young boy. Lotus slowly followed her captain down the dock, turning in circles as she did so. "So much green Zebil." She stated. "Even the water looks green." The star-charter eventually caught up with Theo while the captain tried obtaining the young boy as a guide. "Are we really going to trust such a youngin to guide us through our map?" She breathed to herself, unaware that the person her fearless leader was talking with was in reality, older than Lotus. "Whatch'ya mean that's a girl?" She asked under her breath once more. "Zebil, that is totally a boy. Fine. Don't listen to me."

Tatum was nervous, this was her first real treasure hunt and she had to be sure not to mess up. She wasn't sure if she should follow behind the captain, but when Lotus went ahead the young one went ahead and followed right behind them. Tatum tried to keep her mouth shut lately, and just do as she's told, not that she always followed that rule sometimes she'd make fun of the others. But still asking a stranger for help meant more sharing, and for whatever reason Tatum didn't like the thought or sound of that. But still, Lotus already brought up a more sensible and less selfish worry. Plus, she looked at the young boy, curious about him. He didn't look all that strong or helpful to be honest, not to say Tatum was much bigger then him but at least she had spunk. This guy just looked like a total wimp, if he helped them he'd probably end up being more trouble then anything. Still, her mouth was shut and she'd respect any decision that was made.

Normally Nix would have been the one to be rowing the dinghy from the Golden Tiger to land. It wouldn’t have been the first time he had to do the task considering that he was built for labor intensive work. So when Lotus “volunteered”, the quartermaster was more than happy to step aside and let the woman take the reins. Nix couldn’t help but have a big grin accompany his face the entire time it took for the navigator to row to the docks. Of course the fun ended as soon as they reached dry land. Theo quickly jumped off to scour the docks with both Lotus and Tatum following suit. The quartermaster couldn’t help but lower his head and sigh as soon as he realized that his crew had abandoned him and left him to be the only one to tie the dinghy. All he could think about to calm his anger over their overzealous recklessness was that at least he didn’t have to row the damn thing. Reaching underneath where Theo was sitting, the gambler grabbed the needed rope to tie the small boat to the dock. The rope itself still looked to be in good shape but Nix tugged at it just to make sure. He then proceeded to tie a very sturdy bowline knot around the dock post, giving it a couple of yanks when he was finished just to make sure it would hold. And with that, he slung his things over his shoulder and stepped onto the docks. Nix made sure to take a peek at the map before getting off of the Golden Tiger. And what he had were some essentials needed for such an excursion. The most noticeable being a three foot long shovel and a torch attached to a leather backpack with straps to keep its contents from spilling. The contents of the backpack were just some necessities Nix felt to bring: flint for the torch, a large cloth pouch full of jerky, bandages, flask of water, and of course the much needed flask of rum. The shovel was simply a precautionary. There was no indication that they would have any need to dig for this treasure. At the same time, there was no indication that they wouldn’t have any need to dig either. The map was pretty vague and simply said that they'll see the treasure. But will they openly see the treasure? Or will they openly see where that treasure is hidden? Odds were that they wouldn’t need it. Of course Nix felt it was better to have the shovel and not use it than to not have it only to discover that they need it. They might only have one shot at this thing so it was better to be prepared. The fact that the gambling addict who was partial to drinking and all other forms of merry making was the only one who came prepared at all out of the entire group was something that worried Nix. And to top it all off, both Lotus and Tatum ignored the captain’s orders to stay put and followed her instead. This was like traveling with three Theos! One was bad enough in terms of recklessness. But two more? The odds weren’t looking good that this whole thing will go on smoothly. By the time he caught up to the others, Theo already began to make conversation. The Quartermaster gripped the shoulders of both his subordinates tightly and hid his aggravation about their recklessness behind a calm smile. It was clear that Nix was going to have to teach these two the proper chain of command after this whole thing was over. The two girls before him showed concern over their Captain’s choice of a guide. Such thoughts were never good and could always become poisonous down the road. And it was his job as Quartermaster to squash such thoughts. Nix decided to let go of his aggravation over their, so far, rough start and loosened his grip on their shoulders. The man leaned in between the two as he wanted to make sure that his whispered words would only be heard by them instead of the help. ”Dockworkers are one of the best sources for information. BECAUSE THE WIND, THE WIND, WILL CARRY ME AWAY FROM HOME Peyton hadn't exactly expected the day to go like this, but so far it was turning out to be quite the different one. He had woken up before the sun had rose to his father's voice snapping at him and an angry hand hauling him out of bed to get him to work, like usual. So far, the other workers had been equally as... cranky. It wasn't that they were so much mean, like his father was, but more that none of them wanted to be up at the crack of dawn when the air was so muggy and there was already a number of ships on the horizon and others on the distance. Peyton watched these ships with what could be called envious eyes--but also wary ones. How could he dream about climbing aboard the very thing that had taken his mother from him? How could he contemplate what sailing would be like when he could barely step a toe into the water? He couldn't let himself! But it was true that sometimes his imagination got ahead of him, and that dockworkers, above all else, tended to hear and see more than most knew. As the day wore one, in fact, he had already passed by many tantalizing pieces of rumours. A crewmen, talking about a navyman's trio of ships that were meddling with pirate affairs. A sailor, talking about mermaids that were causing enough trouble for ships for Peyton to think that it wouldn't be the last time he heard about that. Other dock workers, talking about rumours of treasure, and more to come. It was that which made Peyton stop to listen. Treasure on his little home island? But the men stopped talking immediately, and told him to get lost. Yet it wasn't until said captain approached him that Peyton got a nervous flutter in his stomach and realized that maybe today wasn't going to go nearly as... relaxed as he thought it would. Sun hot on his face, which was tanned to the point where burning was no option, looked up at Theo with an awkward shuffle of his feet. It was the other crew members that approached, muttering in the background noise of the crowd, that made his eyes truly flicker in nervous apprehension. Why him? He always tried to keep his head down, because that was what his father wanted. If he had heard his gender getting questioned, as he was questioning the captain in front of him in his head, he would have went bright red. "I--I can try. B-bu-ut I don't know h-how good I'll be to you guys. One of the other d-dockworkers maybe--" his hand fluttered nervously towards a taller, more cranky looking fellow, but Peyton, honestly, was curious. Sometimes he still felt like a boy, looking for adventure, really wanting to get off this damne--No, that was a bad thing to say about his fathers home, this island, "W-what exactly a-are you looking for help with?" He swallowed again, "I-I mean, looking to b-be escorted too." Oh god, he sounded like an idiot.

Theo didn't even bat an eye as those in his crew followed him. He was not really the type to scream and throw a hissy fit to enforce his commands - typically because his commands were actually suggestions. He was far from perfect, and he was always opened to new ways of doing things. Not to mention, most of his crew were young, still testing the waters. He was not in the habit of yelling at children. His patience was perhaps the best thing about him - ya know, aside from his good looks, charming personality, and just overall wonderfulness.

His lips curled into a grin, at Lotus. "Flora is by far, one of the most beautiful islands that we've found. There are a lot of colors to it, and the beasties here are quite amazing too." Theo had been on every island currently known to them. Each had it's own beauty and appeal to it.

As Lotus began to mutter to herself, Theo completely shrugged it off. He had long since gotten used to the young womans habits, and they did not bother him. He knew that some gave her wary glances and avoided her, but Theo liked her. She did her job well and was the kind of different that Theo was accustomed to.

And so, her attention became entirely Peytons. Unaware of what was going on behind her. The lad was cute - not that Theo would tell him that - males got fussy if you called them cute. As he offered one of the other dockworkers, Theo's brows shot up, glancing towards the cranky one. "Uninterested. I have to live with one cranky old man already. I like my other men to be happy go lucky, with a spark in their eyes." The dig, was obviously directed at Nix. Who would probably realize this and scold him later for teasing him.

Finally to the chase, Theo smiled as he accepted his request - or offered to accept. He glanced at the other dockworker, hands raising to motion him to move along. No reason to involve another in this. Especially one who obviously would stab him in the back the second he showed it to him.

Once the other was gone, he leaned in. "Treasure." It was all that he whispered. A wink thrown at the other. "You would get a nice cut." He had not asked his crew about this, but that was because even if they had problems with it, he would just pay him from his own pocket. "It will be a wonderful adventure." Might as well appeal to the boy in him.

If he agreed, Theo would read him the clue and they would be off on their merry way. If he rejected, well Theo was prepared to entice him some more!

Lotus wasn't even fazed when Nix clamped his hand on her shoulder. It's practically become a past-time for him to threaten the star guide whenever she, in his opinion, oversteps her bounds. As far as Lotus knew the captain never cared about it or at least never revealed she cared. Lotus was in practicality the third in command after all. Glancing over at Tatum Lotus thought to calm the kid down. "Don't be scared of Nix. 'E's more bark than bite." The stargazer told the pointy-eared lass. "Cap'n." Lotus started. "Me an' Zebil ain't got no complaints about another body on this venture if it's what you want Sir." She soon slid out of Nix's relaxed grip. No matter what Zebil said she would not give into the quartermaster's sexual charms that he  seems to not be aware of. Listening to Theo's attempt to convince the boy to help, Lotus started thinking about how little she knew about this island. Despite being the ship's guide, she had no clue where to even look for a door on this jungle covered rock.
