Other Info she was born on the most populated island, perhaps not to the best parents in the world. for most of her life, they were far too strict and controlling of her life, wanting to raise the perfect daughter. do this, do that, stand up straight, smile and wave. no, not like that--yes, perfect. now behave. be on your best behavior and maybe someone will end up liking you. their mannerisms for raising their only daughter was not exactly the best thing. alyssia often found herself hating it, but also feared not following their rules. whether it was the fear of being beaten or the fear of dying alone or the fear of disappointing her family (which seemed to be something she did quite often either way), alyssia did her best to follow those rules of her parents. her brother, allec, always seemed to get the better of the situations, though. they clearly loved her brother more. at least that was her thought process. she could not stand to see the love they showered her brother with. she was just as smart. she was just as good at things as he was. but he was a boy. he was more capable, they said. alyssia began to spend time alone when attending school. she didn't have many friends. no, allec had more, he was the more favorable child in the situation, only a year older than her. it was around the time of age twelve that she met a young woman, about her age, who was...different. oh, she was very different than herself, living a much different life. alyssia admired her for it for a long while. pridham was (and is) her name. in a way, pridham managed to save alyssia's life. they became friends and to her parents, pridham was that "bad rolemodel" they weren't entirely fond of. daughter of a man on a ship, aly was enticed by the life she lived. they were fairly close friends throughout their oncoming years. at that point, alyssia had essentially abandoned her family. pridham's life and ways had rubbed off on her, and she was far more keen on becoming a pirate than living the restrictive life her parents had set out for her. and so that's what she did. time passed, pridham took over the ship, and alyssia assumed the second-hand position. she learned the ways of the sword back and forth, became skilled in manners of the ship, and disconnected from her family pretty much altogether. pridham managed to pull her from that life and turn it into a better one. now she has morphed into what she is now. she has a tendency to seem quiet, and weak, which most people find her to be simply by looks alone. but, as closed off as she can be, she has a deeper side to her than that. she is a ferocious and strong fighter, a side of her most people don't expect until certain circumstances force it out. she has a very loving side, a genuine care for the people around her, often showed through the small acts she does here and there. her hair tends to be a problem. voluptuous curls often pinned down by some ties. there's often a running joke that she uses it as a pillow--and she does, but so does prid. she also has a real fondness for jewelry, anything shiny, and pretty. she also loves hard caramel candies. she'll hoard them like a dragon. she also has a tendency to scream, "WHAT IN THE NAME OF LUCIFER'S BLACK BEACH HAVE YOU DONE?!" at prid.
