That's Captain Theo to you!

once your mine there's no going back The large ship surged over the ocean waves. The moon was once more on its throne high in the sky, and the sun had long since fled in fear. A nice breeze was coming off of the ocean, and that was perhaps why Theo was outside leaning against a railing rather than inside doing something productive.
She was dressed as normal. Her shirt was white, with long puffy sleeves that only became tight around the wrist, it was made of thin material, and tied down the chest, which while it revealed some of her chest, it stopped before showing her lack of womanly attributes. Her hair was down and freed from those clips that she constantly used to keep it in its masculine form. It curled freely down to her shoulders, and as the wind blew, it went every which a way. She had tucked her shirt into a pair of tight black breeches, which were covered from calf down by a pair of buckle boots - with a small heel on them which added another inch or two to her already 5'11 stature.
It was a relatively uneventful night. There was hints of a possible storm in the air, but if they were unable to outrun it, it would not occur until the following evening. She was blissfully without a care.
And bored. Don't forget bored. And a bored Theo, was dangerous.

Why must nights always be like this? Boring. Well at least boring on the ship anyways. The energy brought out by the crew’s work and antics has all but disappeared into the bosom of the night. What remained was a near silent ship that required the aid of nature herself to fill in the void that would normally be filled with the hustle and bustle of a crew at work. Of course Nix was one to find entertainment regardless of circumstance. And luckily for him, he turned a boring night into a good one. It wasn’t long ago that the man won a bottle of rum while playing a simple of game of “odds or evens” with a straggler that was still up during these hours. Nights like these were often boring as hell for those looking for a little fun. But when the fun has already been had? Well hell, they make excellent nights to drink. So of course the next logical step was to leave his drunkard of an opponent behind in the orlop and move to the main deck for a nicer view to drink by. Nix couldn’t help but grin at the sky when arriving on the deck. It was a beautiful night. The moon shone beautifully as it lit up the sky with its own dim light. The scattered clouds in the sky never fully blocked out the moon and lit up whenever they attempted such a feat, creating a lovely image in the sky. The wind itself continuously offered a gentle touch to relax the body after a hard day of work. Nix seemed to have been on a lucky streak as he couldn’t have asked for a nicer night. With that in mind, the man decided to take a swig of his winnings to commemorate it. A full minute passed before Nix was finished soaking in the ambiance of the night. Surely the ocean view was just as captivating right now. And there’s nothing like downing a good bottle of rum with some nice scenery in sight. Nix started to move towards the rails when he noticed a figure leaning on them. “Ah hell” he muttered to himself and ran his hand throw the line of hair on his head that is his mohawk. It was none other than the captain. She was a little unrecognizable from a distance without her usual masculine persona, but it was definitely her. Now Nix was having second thoughts about watching the ocean. He looked at the rum in his hand and then at Theo who was staring off into the distance. Going over there with booze in tow on an uneventful night like this would be like dragging a lamb into the lion’s den. Well, a tiger’s den would be more appropriate. And Nix wasn’t quite sure if he wanted to risk it. He still had time to duck back inside considering she hadn’t spotted him yet. Despite his better judgment to quit while he was ahead, he decided to test his luck anyways. It was just too nice of a night to waste. So why not down it with some company? She might gun for the rum or she might not. Who knew? Hell, he still might be able to keep it by the end of the night if his streak was still going strong. With that, he walked towards a spot next to his captain. “Nice night, huh?” he said and took another swig from the bottle. once your mine there's no going back Theo's shifted as the Quartermaster approached, her gaze shifting from the ocean towards him. It was no secret that Theo highly preferred the ocean to the land. Something in her felt more settled out here, surrounded entirely by water. This something had never been quite content on land. Thus, she love all aspects of sailing. From dusk one day until dusk the next, she was content here.
She was also probably one of the most laid back captains. Taking in crew that ranged from odd to crazy to...well Nix himself. She was not strict about much of anything, and as long as her ship sailed, was clean, and everyone did their jobs, she did not care what they did when there was down time. If something happened, well she would deal with it when it came. Despite how she acted, she was quite capable, when she wanted to be.
Thus, the bottle in his hand warranted little more than a raised brow. Drinking was not really a vice she had - actually, she had few. Stealing was about all she did. Occasionally she would drink, but nine times out of ten, the drink was watered down and she was faking her intoxication - and putting on a good show to boot.
Despite this, she did not care if others did. She just liked having her wits about her at all times, and only drank when she was around those that she trusted. She had a decent tolerance and knew her limits and typically stopped before she got past giddy.
"What poor sap did you get that off of?" She snorted and nodded at the bottle. Her body shifted so that she was facing him now. A single arm still resting on the rail.
She glanced back out at the ocean. "It is a nice night. Wont be tomorrow though, I think." She would have to check with Lotus to make sure, but she was certain it would storm soon enough. "You had better enjoy your night escapades Quartermaster, you might not get to have them tomorrow if I am right." She winked, obviously teasing. She didn't doubt that if there was a bad enough storm, his orders would still ring out as sober as normal even if he was shitfaced.

Nix breathed a small sigh of relief when the captain showed no interest in the bottle. The man was so defensive over his freshly won rum, rather high quality rum actually, that he got carried away when he saw Theo. The woman had a tendency of generating a “larger-than-life” type aura that one would typically expect to see amongst the drinking folk. Even after all this time they have been together, Nix still somehow expects to see her drink a little something stronger than what she typically does. The fact that she does not is something that still baffles him to this very day. Perhaps it’s because of the difference in experiences they have had in life? Regardless, the quartermaster felt that time on this world was far too short and unpredictable to worry about such little things as sobriety. A smirk quickly formed on Nix’s face as his captain asked the original whereabouts of the bottle. ”Got it from Jonah, that poor drunkard. You woulda thought I killed his ma with the look he was giving me.” Theo turned her attention back to the ocean and Nix followed suit. He stared off into the ocean and took another swig as he listened to the captain. It would not surprise him if her words were true. She had enough experience with the seas to at least make a reasonable, if not accurate, prediction. Of course she also was not perfect. If she was, then that “possessed” woman would have been out of a job. A ”Ha” escaped from Nix’s mouth in response to Theo. The man directed his gaze away from the ocean and back on the woman next to him with a small but confident smile in tow. ”Fun is what you make of things after all my dear Captain." He held the bottle up and shook it just enough for the liquid to splash around a little inside before taking another swig of its rummy goodness. "Of course I'm always open to ideas before getting pelted with the best damn way to sober up."

once your mine there's no going back Theo's shifted as the Quartermaster approached, her gaze shifting from the ocean towards him. It was no secret that Theo highly preferred the ocean to the land. Something in her felt more settled out here, surrounded entirely by water. This something had never been quite content on land. Thus, she love all aspects of sailing. From dusk one day until dusk the next, she was content here.
Theo snorted as Nix relayed his tale to her. Her head shaking at the poor sap who had lost the bottle. "Sometimes I wonder why people even make bets with you. They should be aware of the outcome by now." Even Theo didn't do it - often - and if she did, she cheated if it was possible. It was the only way she was going to win when placing her luck against Nix. Though...if one thought about it, perhaps she was just as lucky as he? After all, he was loyal to her, so that meant his luck was essentially her luck to use. But that thought was strange, since she did not exactly see herself as 'boss' to most of her crew. To her, the entireity of the Golden Tiger was her family. Maybe she was just their mom. She certainly felt old enough to be.
She considered taking the bottle and stealing a swig, but she wasn't in the mood for any alcohol. It was rare for her to be, and usually, the end result, was quite terrible. As in, she demanded duels with those aroudn her, and insisted people walk the plank. It took more than a sip of course, but she didn't feel like having the taste in her mouth.
Her brows raised, and then wiggled at Nix. "I am fairly certain that I am the funnest person on this ship. When you're with me, everything suddenly becomes an adventure!" By that, she meant all of a sudden you're running from one of three things - the law, an angry man, or the women who belong to the angry men. "You're just an old man Nix." She was quite obviously picking on him. "What do old men know about having fun?"
