Other Info - she was born into a very well known mermaid family, and thus gained a few high expectations. mostly, elowen just wanted to have fun. her family was known for their cranky, and even territorial, ways though. they didn't exactly help the rumours of luring seamen to their deaths. - elowen had a pretty normal childhood though, but she didn't escape inheriting that nasty temper, and by the time she was old enough to go out and explore the world, she was gone. she set up her own piece of territory, a small little coral outcrop along the edge of Kaze, and prepared to build a name for herself. she liked screwing with ships, and honestly still does. the more you can bother them, or cause damage, the better right? - and as far as any sailors were concerned, she wasn't the prettiest mermaid. her fin was scaled, dark, and almost kelpy in appearance. her hair was long, tangled, and by the time she had spent a year in the ocean, there was a school of small fish living in it. her fingers are finned, her gills creep up her cheeks, and her skin is a rather nasty shade of pale grey. coral, kelp, and other pieces of sea goodness have decided to grow on her scales and skin, which cover her in various areas down the arms, stomach, and over the chest, and her nails are atrocious. - but hey, this appearance also meant that elowen could do wonders just to spook a few people, and when the rumour of 'sea monsters' started to go around, that was all she wanted out of life. ah yes, finally that reputation she had worked for!
