i need a place that's hidden in the deep where lonely angels sing you to your sleep FRIENDS Adelard is not the most friendly creature in the sea. He looks down on just about everyone, he can be extremely blunt, and he generally is not a social butterfly fish. However, a friend might just be the thing he needs. He's been living in a small patch of ocean for years, and someone needs to drag him out of it. It's difficult for him to grow fond of others, specifically because he doesn't want to, but he does click with those that share his scientific interests, and after a while he can warm up to you...maybe. He'll still deny it, but the change in his attitude would be obvious, from being far more concerned for your well-being to even showing what little exists of his softer side. ENEMIES Whoops, he has plenty of those. Not even people who want to outright kill him, but just those who dislike him. He's chased off multiple mer in the past, and sailors do have rumors of a monster lurking in Kaze's ruins. After all, his appearance is quite intimidating. He has no fondness for the majority of people, really. Other mer are stupid and humans scare him to bits. Those he dislikes are typically those he derides the most. Expect plenty of insults from him if you're in this category, though he wouldn't ever do anything physical. That's for the other side. LOVES Love? Ew. He already dislikes the thought of having a bunch of stupid fishbrains hovering around him at every minute. He wouldn't dare entertain the thought. It would take a heck of a lot of work for someone to pry open the lock on his heart, but if they did, they might find a person far kinder than even he'd expect. WANTED PLOTS A few, actually! Firstly, some folks to get him out of his little bubble. Whether in the form of companions, hunters wanting to get some gold off of him, or really anything else, it's good by me. And secondly is a ship. He might not be able to do much work on it, being a mer and all, but he can scout, fight, and he has quite a bit of sunken gold in his possession. Once he finds out being a part of a crew can help him with his research, he'll definitely be interested in one.
