But if you close your eyes, Does it almost feel like Nothing changed at all? Jaesom stepped off the transport boat that brought him and his merchandise to this dreary island. It wasn't as backwater as he had hoped but it would have to do. Quickly the merchant began setting up a modest stand near the rest of the dock merchants.
The other merchants were hawking wares such as miracle elixirs, most likely colored water, and 'ancient' artifacts which were probably just rusted kitchen utensils. Jaesom on the other hand had a semi-legitimate business. All of his wares were once hidden treasure found and rehidden by his former pirate crew.
"Come one, come all. Coroway's Goods is now open for business." He called out in a loud voice to all the passersby. "Everyday goods and exotic artifacts both. No matter what you happen to be looking for, you can find it here."
Now he just needed to wait for customers.

Having made port a few hours ago to restock, Alois found himself wandering the port as he waited for his crew to finish their usual duties. He himself found little joy in this particular port. There were no good places to sit and relax a while, let alone enjoy a cup of tea. This place was almost like Alois' own personal hell... Dark, dreary, tea-less. Yep. It was his hell.
To bide his time, Alois wandered the merchant stalls, eyeing goods and calling out scams where he saw them. Even if he was on a break, he still found it fun to interfere in scam artists' work, or toy with common criminals. As he made his way down one particular way, he heard a voice call above the others. Someone was clearly trying to one up his peers... Intrigued, Alois made his way to where he heard the noise. Upon arriving, his bright blue eyes were quick to scan the merchant in question. He wore primarily green, but had a very complimenting blue scarf on that seemed to make it work. "Anything particularly valuable?" Alois questioned plainly as he crossed his arms and looked about the various wares the merchant had for sale. His Naval uniform was quite bad at hiding his weapons... Poking out from within, one could make out all of the grips for each of his pistols, and the two cutlasses worn on each hip were far from hidden. If it weren't for the uniform, most people would probably assume him some murder-happy psychopath.
...They would only be partially correct in that assumption.
