Other Info Mavis was born in a land far from the islands surrounding Rhoda. Unlike Rhoda, her land was only occupied by water on two sides with the others being mountains and a desert. Her family were affiliated with an order of knights belonging to the Lord of the land. They would train all their children in the way of the blade from an early age so that they may some day become a member of the Order and bring more fortune to the family. [b]DARK SOULS 2[/b], lucatiel of mirrah, [i]Mavis Lestrange[/i]Mavis grew up with her brother. They sparred daily and trained at the same intensity. She was never able to best her brother. He was quickly recognized and became one of the most decorated swordsmen of the Order. Until one day he vanished, without a trace. Mavis trained hard until she became a respectable knightess. She never knew where her brother went until it happened to her. She awoke one day with the sight in her left eye growing dark around the edges. The area around her eye had begun to wither and turn dark grey. She returned home to speak with her family regarding it. She learned of her family's horrific past. They had performed atrocities beyond redemption. The legend says the gods of this land cursed the family so that they may never do such a thing again. It withers them physically, but it also degrades their mind until they are nothing. Mavis learned her brother too was afflicted by this curse and left in search of a cure. She couldn't return to the Order like this and followed in her brother's footsteps. She bought a boat and traveled to the islands in search of some kind of redemption from this curse and notice of her brother. She wears a mask at all times to cover her face. The withering has spread across most of the left side of her face. |
