Despite the nasty reputation Cynric bears, the bastard is actually quite charming and a real people person, always the life of the party when his old crew 'pillaged' the local taverns. Really, if you can look past his history and tendency to swindle both friends and strangers alike, he's really not all that bad. He's just playfully mischievous and finds entertainment at the expense of others. It's not that bad, right? Well, regardless it's not that difficult to fall for his charm and friends aren't that difficult for him to come by, surprisingly. However, even his closest of friends know better than to put much trust in him, though know for a fact that his presence is bound to ensure a good time, even if not for everyone present. * Desired friendships Partner In Crime - Practically attached to the hip, these two. When together, it almost always ends with trouble. They find it entertaining nonetheless. Friendly Rival - These two are quite competitive and are always trying to one-up each other. But by the end of the day, they get along exceptionally well. Big Brother Mentor - The much more responsible friend he tends to go to for advice. As charming as he can be, Cynric comes off a tad bit annoying to most and is hardly trusted by anyone who knows his story. He might as well be he devil incarnate as far as they are concerned and unfortunately, Cyn isn't really the type of pirate to take enemies seriously. Or anything seriously for that matter. That said, he usually doesn't give those who hate him the time of day unless there's something to gain from it, though isn't afraid to taunt and tease them when he's feeling especially mischievous. He's no doubt an instigator, but when push comes to shove, he'll typically flee from battles when things get too heated which sometimes only serves to piss them off more. Make no mistake though, it's not so much a lack of courage as it is a lack of interest as Cynric used to be revered for his skill with a blade. He can handle himself in a fight well enough, he'd just rather avoid the mess. * Desired enemies Arch-Enemy - It's personal. For whatever reason, these two are at each other's throats, making it a point to make each other miserable. One Sided Hate - Perhaps he cheated them or even cheated on them. Either way, this person doesn't like him all too well and unfortunately, he doesn't really notice or care, as hard as they try to make his life a living hell. Traitor - Could be one of those cowards who stole his well deserved ship from him or someone who considers him the traitor. Either way, there is bitterness there.	unfair negative fugitive
Call him Casanova. Despite his unfortunate reputation, it's done little to ruin his love life. In fact, it might not be a stretch to say they find his actions to be quite exciting. As a pirate though, his commitment is to the sea and he is the sort of man who sleeps around and leaves a string of broken hearts in his wake. Or even angry ex-lovers who woke up the next morning to find he'd 'borrowed' some things. It's not exactly the most healthy of relationships, but he does believe it suits him quite fine. Besides, having a new lover for each night just makes it more fun. Besides, he's got to share the attention with everyone, right? It would be cruel otherwise. So women (and even men) can take their shot at him if they are interested. * Desired relationships Friends with benefits - He's got at least one on each of the Islands. They are his go-to people when he happens to be in the mood for play. Love/Hate - It's confusing, but it works somehow. One minute they are at each other's throats, the next they... well.. you get the picture. Ex - He's got plenty. He knows he's irresistible but this is rather ridiculous. Scoundrel, she'd call him. It's all in good humor, though. Honestly, he intrigues her, and he'd likely find her either a good conversation piece, or a good play pieces at some time or another. She aint about to let him get away with any funny business, though. Like you said, there's a reason he's not to be trusted, and she considers herself a pretty good judge of character, and either from what she's heard on the grape vine, or just from a few conversations they could have had, she's likely gotten a bit wary--but that doesn't mean they can't be friends, eh? Or playmates. You're a cutie, Cynric, and she's a fan of those. Friendly rival, fwb's, or just good old acquaintances. I'm on board if you are.

Don't worry. He's used to it. In fact, he's been called so many names that he's simply adopted them as alias' so he'd hardly be insulted. I think he'll enjoy her company though. For more reasons than one *wink, nudge* It's not every day he gets a pirate to even acknowledge him (at least positively anyway) so I doubt he'd waste the opportunity. He'd also take no offense to her wariness. Frankly, I think he'd be disappointed if she were fall for his tricks easily. That wont stop him from trying though. Knowing him, he'd try and make a game out of it! How close can I get to her coin purse before she notices? I do think they should be some form of friends though, if not a mixture of all three that you mentioned. Regardless, I don't doubt he'd take advantage of a potential ally, in case he manages to get back on the sea. Till then, he'd rely on her for entertainment. :]

He was a bright kid back then, but I doubt he'd be concerned with gender or anything so he'd just consider her one of the guys from the get go. Fortunately, I don't think he's stupid enough to go through with it. Attempt, yes. But if he happened to get his hands on it, he'd show it off and advise her to be a bit more careful. Probably in an attempt to not get his fingers cut off cause he does in fact need those. He's already lost an eye, give him a break : P It's really up to you, I don't mind either way. Though I do agree threadage should happen. So if you are willing to go through the usually awkward phases of the first meeting, by all means we can give it a shot. I believe they would hit it off pretty well.  Both have old stories about how their primes were taken from them far too early.  Your's a little more treacherously, unless you count the ocean stabbing you in back.  I could definitely see them messing with each others street game.  Say he's out with a table and cards and Jean decides to see if he can out play you while appearing as a drunken mess.  He would be more than happy to share a pint or two with you anytime.

Yissssssssssss I agree, I think these two could get along quite swimmingly. He'd find Jean quite amusing, even when he was trying to mess with his game and he'd always try to cheat the drunk out of some coin when given the chance, only to use it later to buy them both a drink. I have a feeling they'd be the idiots who'd drunkenly talk about their exciting tales, messing it up every night and annoying any poor sap who was within earshot.

A trouble maker from Rhoda? I can dig it.

Your desired friendship for the big brother-esque role seems like something Alois might be able to fulfill. He's 5 years older, so it's not a huge difference, but he's the type to lecture, for sure. He also acts rather stiff, and at times, haughty, so I think there could be some interesting interactions between them. With Alois being a Vice Admiral with a lot of pull, I could see him bailing Cynric out of the jams he might get himself into from time to time, like cheating the wrong person.

Anyway, I think there's some promise here!

Oh, and while she's still unaccepted, Augustine could fill a few different roles out. She's really loud and blunt, and not really much of a classy lady, so I think she might make an interesting match for the partners in crime shtick. Or FWB, even. She's not really looking to be tied down. She's a bit younger than him, at 21, but I don't think it's too significant.
